Aurora Airport Taxi Way

In September of 2007 Kerr began work for the Oregon Department of Aviation’s Aurora Airport Taxi way project. The project involves the construction of parallel taxiway, asphalt overlay of an existing south end parallel taxiway, pavement transition to connecting taxiways and to contiguous aircraft aprons. Plans also call for the construction of a sub-drain system for the new taxiway pavement, the removal of the abandoned parallel taxiway pavement which includes re-grading for drainage and stabilization with seeding. The job also includes relocating existing storm water drainage systems, installation of taxiway edge lighting system and a new airport rotating beacon and beacon tower as well as, upgrading the existing airfield electrical supply/control systems and the addition of a new electrical building.
PDX Air Cargo Way/82nd Ave. Rehabilitation

Port of Portland awarded Kerr Contractors the PDX Air Cargo Way and 82nd Ave. Rehabilitation project spring of 2007. The work consists of roadway rehabilitation of NE Air Cargo Way and NE 82nd Avenue, including milling and replacement of asphalt concrete along portions of both Air Cargo Way and 82nd Ave. Reconfiguration of a driveway entrance off of Air Cargo Way, Pavement Marking and Landscaping.
Waterfront Park
Hood River, OR
In early February, Kerr started the development and site improvements for a community park on a six-acre waterfront parcel for the City of Hood River. The contract included beach preparation, landscaping, and walking paths. When complete the park will allow beach access for family entertainment and non-motorized water sports.
